Condenser oil MAC-30HK. Specifications
Full title and description
GOST 21791-2022 — Масло синтетическое МАС-30НК. Технические условия (Condenser oil МАС-30НК. Specifications). The standard establishes technical requirements, marking, packaging and test methods for the synthetic oil grade MAS-30NK intended for lubrication and manufacture of greases.
Abstract
This interstate (GOST) standard specifies composition and physical‑chemical requirements, performance and safety provisions for synthetic condenser oil MAS‑30NK used in mechanical lubrication and grease preparation. It replaces the earlier GOST 21791-76 and sets conditions for operation in a wide temperature range and for contact with certain aggressive media.
General information
- Status: Active / in force (introduced 1 July 2023).
- Publication date: Issued October 17, 2022; registered 31 August 2022; effective (date of introduction) 1 July 2023.
- Publisher: Adopted/registered by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (Rosstandart); developed by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Institute for Standardization" (FGBU RST) and the interstate technical committee MTC 031.
- ICS / categories: ICS 75.100 (lubricants, industrial oils and related products); OKPD.2: 20.59.41.000.
- Edition / version: GOST 21791-2022 (replaces GOST 21791-76).
- Number of pages: 12 pages (standard document length as published).
Scope
The standard applies to synthetic oil MAS‑30NK intended for lubrication of mechanisms and for preparation of plastic (grease) lubricants. MAS‑30NK is specified for reliable performance when exposed to certain aggressive media and in an ambient/application temperature range from −50 °C to +50 °C. The standard defines required physical‑chemical characteristics, test methods, marking, packaging and storage conditions.
Key topics and requirements
- Definition of product and intended applications (lubrication of mechanisms; base for plastic greases).
- Mandatory physical‑chemical parameters (examples: density at 20 °C, specified ranges; other viscosity and contamination limits as set out in the tables of the standard).
- Normative references and test methods — the standard cites related GOST methods for density, viscosity, contamination, safety and packaging requirements.
- Marking and packaging requirements (including consumer and transport packaging, storage conditions and labeling elements).
- Environmental, safety and handling notes (measures to prevent environmental release, non-classification as a hazardous cargo in certain cases, and recommended protective measures).
Typical use and users
Typical users include lubricant and grease manufacturers, petrochemical and petro‑equipment suppliers, maintenance and reliability departments in industrial plants, quality control and testing laboratories, procurement and regulatory/compliance teams, and certification bodies that verify conformity with GOST requirements. The standard is used where specification-compliant MAS‑30NK oil is required for equipment operating in low‑temperature and aggressive‑media conditions.
Related standards
References and related documents include the previous edition GOST 21791-76 (superseded), and other GOST normative references cited inside the text (examples: GOST 3900 for density, GOST 1510 for marking and packaging, GOST 31340 for warning labels, plus several safety and measurement standards). The document is aligned with regional technical regulation requirements for lubricants (TR CU / TR TS frameworks where applicable).
